Tool-X Multi-Purpose 101 EU

Tool-X Multi-Purpose 101 EU is a semi-synthetic, high-performance, water-based nano-coolant emulsion for universal machining. By incorporating Carbon Nano-Onions (CNO), the product converts sliding friction in the cutting gap into rolling friction — the key to significantly longer tool life and higher cutting parameters. The product is completely paraffin-free, odorless, and compatible with all common metals. It does not attack plastics or seals and is compatible with the food industry.

Tool-X 101 EU is suitable for all machining processes in cutting production, regardless of the material. Turning, milling, drilling, reaming, broaching, peeling, honing, grinding, and sawing are possible in all common metals: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, Inconel, Hastelloy, and titanium.

    Prefer electronic inline mixers; avoid Venturi mixers. Never pour water into oil or emulsion!

  • Measure concentration: Refractometer reading × 2.083 = concentration in %.

The defined target service life for Tool-X 101 EU is at least 24 months — and much longer in many applications, provided the following conditions are met: exclusive use, C-Thru Separator, water quality according to specifications, correct concentration management. This statement does not constitute a legal guarantee in the legal sense.

50 to 400% longer tool life, depending on material and process. Specific values are documented for single-lip drilling, thread forming, long turning, and roughing.

Tool-X 101 EU for universal machining (turning, milling, drilling, grinding) — as a water-miscible emulsion. Tapping Fluid 138 exclusively for thread cutting and thread forming. Swiss Screw 175 for automatic lathes and sliding headstock lathes with bar feeders. Machine Oil 180 for heavy machining with high cutting forces. The latter three are neat cutting oils and are used undiluted.

Using an optical refractometer. For Tool-X 101 EU, the following applies: Refractometer value × 2.083 = Concentration in %. Target concentration in operation 5–8%, control interval weekly. The process oils (138, 175, 180) are used undiluted—no concentration measurement required.

Yes. Tool-X 101 EU is free of secondary amines and nitrosamine-forming substances. When used and maintained correctly, TRGS 611 is fully complied with. Carbon nano-onions themselves are toxicologically uncritical.

No. Exclusive operation is a prerequisite for the target service life of Tool-X 101 EU: no mixing with foreign coolants, oils, or additives from other manufacturers (with the exception of unavoidable ingress of lubrication oils from guides, spindles, and ball screws). Process oils 138, 175, and 180 must also not be mixed with foreign oils.
